Lahore’s Planning and Development (P&D) Board has sanctioned six significant development projects across various sectors, including emergency services, road and bridge construction, sports infrastructure, and irrigation improvements, as per reports from November 29.
Presided over by Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, the meeting saw the endorsement of several initiatives totaling PKR 9.504 billion. The approved projects comprise:

The construction of the Arifwala Bypass, estimated at PKR 784.908 million.
The creation of an interchange on Khanewal-Lodhran Road, budgeted at PKR 2.731 million.
The enhancement of Emergency Services across all Punjab districts, costing PKR 756.851 million.
A PKR 1.245 billion Cricket High-Performance Headquarters is being set up in Faisalabad and a similar PKR 1.323 billion facility in Sialkot.
A PKR 2.663 billion project is underway to enhance water delivery and efficiency through concrete lining of irrigation channels in District Performance & Conveyance Efficiency-II.
Chairman Iftikhar Ali Sahoo inspected development sites along the controlled access corridor from Niazi to Saggian and Babu Sabu Interchanges.
