At an important meeting on April 19 attended by LDA Director General Tahir Farooq and other key stakeholders, emphasis was laid on monitoring and improving the time taken by various departments to grant No Objection Certificates (NOCs). Despite these achievements, the challenge of illegal construction remains. The meeting reported action against 1,800 properties involved in unauthorized construction and commercialization activities.DG Farooq ordered the demolition of illegal structures and water cutoff, reinforcing LDA’s zero tolerance for regulatory breaches.
