At an important meeting on April 19 attended by LDA Director General Tahir Farooq and other key stakeholders, emphasis was laid on monitoring and improving the time taken by various departments to grant No Objection Certificates (NOCs). This commitment to efficiency will likely yield great benefits for business in terms of reduced delays and creating an environment more conducive to development.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to assess the performance of LDA Lahore’s Town Planning Wing. In six months, LDA Lahore issued 3,500+ residential and 450 commercial plans, and over 730 certificates, showcasing urban growth commitment.

Despite these achievements, the challenge of illegal construction remains. The meeting reported action against 1,800 properties involved in unauthorized construction and commercialization activities.DG Farooq ordered the demolition of illegal structures and water cutoff, reinforcing LDA’s zero tolerance for regulatory breaches.
